My Current Full Makeup Routine

I have been getting much more into makeup lately, so I thought I would share all my current favorites in one place! I have been using some of these for years, and some are newer discoveries. I wear more minimal makeup on an everyday basis, but this is a roundup of everything I use on full makeup days!

All photos are linked, but you can click this photo to shop everything in one place!

Tarte Poreless Mattifying Primer: This is actually the first primer I have tried, but I have really been liking it! Primer helps to smooth skin and minimize shine. I always apply this before applying any foundation.

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear 24H Long Wear Foundation: I have been using Lancome foundation since high school so I don’t have much to compare it to – but you know the saying, if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it. This foundation has always had good coverage for me, and I have had no issue with it staying in place.

Tarte Shape Tape Concealer: I tried this concealer first (years ago) because I had heard so many great things, and never felt the need to try anything else! It has great coverage, and stays in place really well. Tarte did just release an ultra creamy version which is supposed to settle less to show even less creasing around the eyes, and I will probably give it a try when I use up my current Shape Tape!

Bare Minerals Matte Foundation: My skin tends to get oily by the end of the day (especially around my forehead), so I like to apply a small amount of matte powder foundation over my liquid foundation. Bare Minerals is another foundation I have been using for a really long time. It also has an SPF, which I love! I always like to have an SPF on my skin when I go out.

Tarteist Pro Glow To Go Highlight Contour Palette: I am so glad I found this palette because it is such a gem! The color burst is my go to for highlighting, and I am obsessed. It looks so good, and stays in place so well. I use chisel for contouring, and I love the shade because it creates a great contour without being too intense. I also might be imagining this, but I think it smells like chocolate and I love it.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer: If you haven’t noticed by now, I am a huge fan of Tarte. All of their makeup is vegan, cruelty free and gluten free, and it is all so good! I love putting a little of this bronzer on top of the chisel contour powder.

Tartelette Toasted Eyeshadow Palette: This is definitely a classic! I think Tarte’s eyeshadows stay on really well, and I love the colors in this palette. Most days I like to go for a light pink vibe, but some days I like to do a darker brown, and this is good for both. When I apply the Shape Tape concealer under my eyes, I also use some of the excess on my eyelids so the eyeshadow sticks a little better!

Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner: If you know me, you know I love eyeliner! If I could only have one makeup product in my life, this would be it. This is actually a new addition for me, but I take my eyeliner very seriously and did a lot of research. The eyeliner I used for years switched up their formula and I couldn’t use it anymore (I wont name names), I had a major freakout until I found this one. This one goes on very easy, stays all day, and doesn’t smudge. I am so relieved to have found it! Highly recommend.

Tarte Fake Awake Eye Highlight: This is another new addition for me that is subtle but so good! It is a light (almost white) eyeliner that you use on your waterline, and it definitely gives the appearance of your eyes being wider and brighter!

Le Volume De Chanel Mascara: If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen me test and compare a few top recommended mascaras. I have finally settled on my favorite, which is Le Volume De Chanel (Lancome Monsieur Big was a close second)! Out of everything I tried, I feel like the Chanel has the best combination of volume and length with almost no clumping. It is $32, which is pricey, but honestly not that much higher than other mascaras. Also, if you order directly from Chanel’s site here, it comes in the prettiest package with an official Chanel bag, and two free samples! I felt really fancy opening it.

Oval Makeup Brush Set: I was looking for a brush set that would be similar to Artis (but less expensive) and I have been so happy with this set that I found on Amazon! My makeup has been more even than it used to be with my old brushes, and as a result I am also able to use less product. These are currently only $9!

Tarte Stay Spray: A setting spray (or powder) is super important to keep all your hard work in place! I like a spray over a powder, because in my opinion it is easier. However, I am thinking about giving powder another try soon to compare!

Kylie Matte Liquid Lipstick in Posie K: I rediscovered my Kylie lipsticks recently, and I have been loving them! Posie K has been one of my go to colors. As a note, this color looks a lot darker on me than it does in the website (maybe just a little dark for everyday wear, but I like it for special occasions). In my experience, Kylie lipsticks really don’t budge, and the color stays on longer than any other lipstick I’ve tried.

NYX Butter Gloss in Madeleine: This gloss has been a staple of mine for years, and Madeleine is more of a subtle, everyday color for me. Plus, it’s only $5!

MAC Matte Lipstick in Velvet Teddy: There is definitely a lot of hype around Velvet Teddy, and I definitely think it is justified. It is such a good everyday color, and it has looked amazing on everyone I have seen it on. I would say that this is my most used lipstick overall. It’s kind of an in between of the more neutral butter gloss and the more pigmented Posie K.

MakeUp Eraser: There’s nothing like wiping all your makeup off after you spent all that time putting it on! I can’t recommend the MakeUp Erasers enough if you don’t already use them. They take everything off with only warm water (I was skeptical that I wouldn’t need any kind of makeup remover, but these really are amazing). My eyes were so sensitive to makeup removers, and I am so glad to have cut them out completely. These erasers have saved me so much money, and I love that they are much more environmentally friendly!

These are all my current favorites! Some are new and some I’ve been using for years, but I am loving them all at the moment. Like I said, makeup is a newer interest of mine, so I would love to hear any of your recommendations and favorites! I already have a few new items in my cart, and as always, I will keep you updated on how I like them 🙂
